It ties the storefront with the back office, eliminating

customize reports, producing the information you need.
Point of Sale for Windows® provides a secure
audit trail for your accountant as well as several
levels of security so the sales clerk, manager and
accountant will only have access to the information

Point of Sale
Set up what payment method(s) you want to allow on
a per customer basis to avoid bad debts and streamline
clerk training and sales entry. On the AR customer
record, you may indicate which payment method(s) will
be acceptable from that customer. Only those methods
will be available during a POS transaction for that
customer.
You can set up how many different copies you want
to print for each type of POS transaction, and to
which printers(s). This will allow you to specify,
for example, one copy of each charge transaction to
go to a back office printer, and one to go to the
printer at the cash register, reducing clerk error
by having this set up by a supervisor.
Increase sales floor security, especially in situations
where there are more clerks than physical cash registers.
If the sales clerk logs out, the system will require
a user name and password for the next transaction.
The system administrator will select whether or not
they will be able to log out between transactions.
Don't wait until the end of the day to review that
day's transactions! Print your edit reports throughout
the day by specifying a time/date range on your transactions
before your sales clerks have left for the day.
When entering a POS transaction, the clerk can be
given the ability to look up the different price levels
available, and select which one to use.
The Paid Sales by Salesperson report shows those
sales that are already paid by the customer. This
is helpful to determine commission payments, especially
if commissions are calculated only on paid sales,
not gross sales.
Increase your customer's security! Encrypt all but
the first four numbers of the customer's credit card
number. The encrypted numbers will be replaced with
an "X" when printed on the receipt.
Transactions can be entered on one single screen
from start to finish for quick sales entry.
Several levels of security are available so the sales
clerk, manager, and accountant will only have access
to information that you authorize.
Customizable screens allow you to collect all the
information you need. You can remove the prompts,
allowing for quicker entry of transactions.
Get real-time information on sales by item, salesperson,
or register.
Run "Z" Report at the end of the day for
totals collected in cash, credit cards, refunds and
voids.
Ability to address several different pricing levels
as well as quantity discounts, promotional pricing
or special pricing for certain customers.
Control cash and reconcile sales on a daily basis.
You have the option of allowing only authorized personnel
to balance each register.
Print posting reports even if not integrated to General
Ledger. This provides a hard copy for manual entries
to books, or a copy to hand your accountant.
Report on the gross profitability of a number of
categories such as customer, item, salesperson, department,
zip code, etc., based on a user-defined date range.
Automate your discount structure for various groups
of customers. Base discounts on anything you like
and the system will automatically calculate the discount
for the customers you specify.
Specify the credit card receipt report to print from
history or current, based on CC type and user-defined
date range.
Print Balance Register Screen totals in report format.
Update any sales tax changes easily yourself. You
don't need to hire a programmer or purchase additional
software.
Invoices and sales receipts are fully customizable
if you purchase Report Writer. Receipts are customizable
within Profits to the Max Accounting Software including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions.
Detailed customer financial information is available
at a glance during transaction entry.
Create a default register assignment for Point of
Sale clerks.
Retrieve held invoices even after register has been
posted.
POS invoice may be reprinted from history. Reprint
lost or misplaced invoices at any time.
Flag bad checks. Provides the clerk with a warning
if a customer has previously passed an "NSF"
check.
Assign a default printer for credit card receipts.
Store, retrieve and create reports on cash register
voids in POS history file. Allows identification of
transactions that have been voided at the register.
Alternate tendering allows you to accept and track
your gift certificates, coupons, food stamps, etc.
Customer and inventory inquiry or edit options are
set in the salesperson code file and allow (or restrict)
the following processes: refunds, special orders,
void transaction, register change, authority to override
price, and save transactions without printing.
Screen definitions can be assigned to specific registers,
providing the flexibility to customize separate screens
for different departments within the store.
Enhanced POS department codes allow for an override
account on inventory and non-inventory sales accounts.
